The Kaiser model

You need trailer space.
We bring the plan.

You may know it as less-than-truckload shipping, LTL, or a partial load. At Kaiser, we call it Trailer Space Sharing.

Instead of booking an entire trailer for a shipment that needs only part of the deck, your freight travels alongside compatible shipments from other customers. You pay for the space your freight needs.

Dimensions, weight, loading and unloading requirements, routing, and securement all shape the plan. We work through those details before your freight moves.

One trailer. Compatible shipments.

Illustration only. Actual loading arrangements depend on freight, securement, and route requirements.

More freight. Less wasted space.

Combining compatible shipments makes better use of trailer capacity and can reduce the need for separate truck trips, along with the fuel use and emissions that go with them.

From freight details to delivery

Here’s how we build your move.

01 / TELL US WHAT NEEDS TO MOVE

Start with your freight.

Send the pickup and delivery locations, dimensions, weight, piece count, value, and ready dates. Photos help us understand the load and any special handling needs.

02 / COORDINATE THE DETAILS

Build a workable plan.

Our team reviews compatible freight, routing, loading, securement, and your schedule. We can coordinate pickup and delivery appointments and discuss storage or port services when needed.

03 / KEEP THE MOVE VISIBLE

Follow your freight.

We send you a GPS tracking link for the truck carrying your shipment. Pickup and delivery photos document your freight at both ends, and our team can arrange additional updates.

Before you book

Trailer Space Sharing questions.

Is Trailer Space Sharing the same as open-deck LTL?

Trailer Space Sharing is Kaiser’s approach to open-deck less-than-truckload shipping. It combines compatible shipments from different customers on a trailer, with the space, loading, routing, and securement planned around the freight. Customers may also describe these shipments as partial loads.

Does my freight need to fill an entire trailer?

No. Trailer Space Sharing is designed for shipments that use part of the deck. Share your freight’s dimensions, weight, and handling needs so we can review the space and plan.

How is the shipping price determined?

Your quote reflects the space and weight of the freight, pickup and delivery locations, timing, handling, and any additional services. Send the shipment details for a quote specific to your move.

How do you determine which shipments can share a trailer?

We review more than open space. Freight dimensions, weight, protection and securement needs, loading and unloading requirements, routing, and schedules all help determine compatibility.

How do I track my shipment?

Kaiser sends you a GPS tracking link for the truck carrying your freight. No customer login is required. Contact your representative if you need additional updates or reporting.

Can you meet a specific pickup or delivery date?

Share your required dates and appointments before booking. Our team will review the route and schedule with you and confirm the plan. Pickup and delivery are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with timing and facility access coordinated in advance.

Can you store my freight between pickup and delivery?

Yes. Kaiser offers storage and warehousing alongside transportation. Send the freight details, storage dates, and handling requirements so our team can review space and coordinate the next move. Learn about storage and port services.
